Payment Policies
ZEN RE•GEN is not contracted with any insurance carriers and therefore, all services are private pay only.
- There is a non-refundable fee of $125 for cosmetic dermatology and comprehensive consultations. This fee is charged to secure a consultation appointment with ZEN RE•GEN and one of our medical providers, and it is not refundable (including if the patient does not show for their appointment or decides not to pursue any further treatment). However, if the patient decides to book a service or purchase products with a value of $500 or more within 7 days of the consultation, the $125 fee will be credited toward the cost of that invoice.
- We understand that life happens, which is why we do our best to be flexible when unexpected life events require you to reschedule your appointment. As long as 48 hours’ notice is given and your appointment is rescheduled, your consultation fee will be credited to your rescheduled appointment (i.e., you will not be charged twice). This means patients can reschedule their appointments without any penalty if they provide the clinic with sufficient notice.
- There is a $50 consultation fee to meet with one of our skilled aestheticians. This payment can be applied to services and products within 7 days of your consultation.
- There is a $300 consultation fee for initial Hormone Replacement Therapy visits and it is not refundable (including if the patient does not show for their appointment or decides not to pursue any further treatment).
- Our treatment plans are customized to your needs, so we are unable to estimate the cost of various services until you have had a consultation with one of our providers.
Payment at the Time of Booking
To ensure a seamless experience for all patients and to effectively manage our schedule and resources, payment is required at the time of booking for all appointments and services.
For appointments booked in person, over the phone, or online, the credit card on file will be charged at the time of booking.
This policy helps us allocate the necessary time and resources for your care and ensures a commitment to your scheduled appointment. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Payment Options

Insurance Information
Although ZEN RE•GEN is not contracted with any insurance plans, Dr. Chambers and Dr. Sivamani will see medical dermatology patients through their medical dermatology practice, Pacific Skin Institute (PSI). PSI is independent of ZEN RE•GEN and will require a call to their clinic to determine eligibility for insurance. They can be reached at 916-925-7020.
Other Policies
Cancellation. Rescheduling, and No-Show Policy

For Patient Consultations: We understand that life happens, and sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule. To respect our providers, staff, and other patients, we kindly ask for a minimum of 48-hours' notice for cancellations or reschedules. You will receive a confirmation 72 hours in advance for your convenience. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice or no-shows will result in a $50 charge to your credit card on file.
- For Booked Services: We deeply value your time and strive to provide each patient with personalized care and attention, and therefore dedicate significant time and resources to prepare for your treatments. To maintain this level of care and respect for all patients, a 25% service charge will be applied for cancellations or no-shows made without at least 48 hours' notice. This ensures we can accommodate other patients and deliver the highest quality service to everyone.

Late Arrival Policy
We understand that life happens, and sometimes being on time may not be possible. If you expect to arrive more than 5 minutes late for your scheduled appointment, please call us at 916-936-1231 as soon as possible. This allows our front desk team to assess the schedule and determine if we can still accommodate you without disrupting other patients.
Our providers work hard to ensure the right amount of time is reserved for each service. Arriving late may result in one of the following:

For delays of more than 5 minutes: We cannot guarantee your service can be performed as scheduled. Tardiness may result in your appointment being rescheduled to another day.

For significant delays or no notice: A 25% service charge will apply, as outlined in our cancellation and rescheduling policy.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation, as this helps us deliver the best possible care to all patients and maintain a smooth schedule.
Appointment Policy
Please book your appointments as early as possible to ensure your preferred appointment time. We want you to enjoy the full time with our talented staff. If you are excessively late, keep in mind that we may have to reschedule your appointment or change the service to another time. Our entire staff want to make this a very pleasant experience for all clients. We thank you for your cooperation.
Cancellation Policy
We realize that sometimes life happens and you must cancel or reschedule your appointment. Please note that we have a 24-hour cancellation/rescheduling policy. For your convenience, we send a confirmation 72-hours in advance. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are difficult to fill and by giving last minute notice or no notice at all, you prevent someone else from being able to schedule into that time slot. This policy is in place out of respect for our providers, staff, and patients. Should we receive less than 24 hours of notification, or should you fail to keep your appointment, your credit card may be charged $50.
No-Show Policy
No-shows may result in a $50 charge to the credit card. No-shows will forfeit one session of their package, if applicable. In the event you miss three consecutive appointments without contacting the clinic, you will be unable to schedule future appointments.
Late Guest Policy
We understand life happens. If for any reason you are expecting to be late by more than 5 minutes to your scheduled appointment, please call us at 916-936-1231 so our front desk can reschedule your appointment. We work very hard to schedule the right amount of time for each service. Accommodating late guests is often impossible without disrupting every other guest scheduled that day. Please be aware that if you are more than 5 minutes late, we cannot guarantee that your services will be performed. Tardiness may require rescheduling your appointment for another day or may result in a shorter visit.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates must be presented at the time of service or the gift certificate number must be verified. Gift certificates are available in-store and cannot be mailed out for security reasons.
All gift card sales are final and are non-refundable.
Pregnancy Policy
All women who become pregnant during their medical treatments must discontinue certain treatments (check with your provider for a list). The remaining treatments will be placed on hold until after pregnancy or the remaining balance may be placed on store credit and used for other services. Your safety and the safety of your baby are our top priority.
Refund Policy
Considerations will be on a case by case basis and at the discretion of management.
Sculptra is premixed on an individual basis and therefore no refunds are available if the patient cancels after the product has been mixed.
Package Refunds
All packages not initiated within 3 months are not available for refunds and money paid will be available for store credit only. Should you purchase a package of a service which you wish to change, we will apply the money paid toward the new package.
Return Policy
If a patient does not want to continue with treatments, a credit will be given that can be used for other services or products at Zen Dermatology.
Product Returns
We are unable to return any products after purchase unless the return is due to a reaction. You are required to document your reaction within the first 30 days in order for your products to be eligible for return. These returns will result in store credit. All other sales are final.
Banked products are not eligible for refunds, store credit will be given.
Child Safety Policy
For safety and liability reasons, children are only permitted in the spa area when receiving a service. No children under the age of 12 may accompany you while you are having a service. Children under the age of 12 are not permitted in the exam room during laser treatments unless they are the patient being treated. Although we love children, your understanding is greatly appreciated
