I am a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and a board certified Dermatologist. My expertise centers on general dermatology including medical, surgical, and cosmetic services. With training in bioengineering, Allopathic and Ayurvedic medicine, I merge modern research and science with a personalized approach to each patient. My training in Ayurvedic medicine lets me bring in a more humanistic approach to my patient care, science, and research.

 I believe in providing exceptional medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatologic care, focusing on integrated skin health and wellness for my adult and pediatric patient populations. I strive to connect with every patient on a personal level, fostering the development of long-term relationships. My clinical expertise includes skin cancer screening and treatment, adult and pediatric medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology, psoriasis, eczema, acne, clinical and translational research and integrated skin health and wellness.

 I have worked in laser aesthetics since 2000, and have been a nurse injector since 2005. One of my favorite components of my work is to develop collaborative relationships with my patients and educate them on the best way to achieve their aesthetic goals.
My experience in Integrative Medicine is working with peri-menopausal and menopausal women. I can help with lifestyle, supplements, and bio-identical hormone replacement to alleviate symptoms and achieve healthy longevity.

Since the beginning of nursing school, I always knew I would end up working in the aesthetics industry. I am passionate about helping my patients step into the world with confidence as the best version of themselves, whether with injections or even just through education and exploring all possible options to help them reach their beauty goals.

Since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to be a caregiver in the medical profession. Being the oldest girl of 9 kids, caring for others became a natural instinct. I have been a nurse for over 24 years (the last 6 years in aesthetics) and started my career as a neonatal nurse and in women’s health. After having a family of my own I needed a career that was a little more flexible. I was at a crossroads in my life and took a chance down a path I never imagined in my nursing career. I transitioned from hospital life to stay-at-home mom, to private practice, and discovered a love for aesthetics. There is this incredible unity of science and art in the aesthetic world and I found myself wanting to learn as much as I could and falling in love with it more and more every day. I was not prepared for the strong connection that is created as you walk each person through their personal journey to self-love. I knew I had found where I was supposed to be.
I strive to provide individual experiences and educate patients on how each treatment, product, and medication can maintain and enhance your natural beauty. I look forward to coming to work each day! I love to help people in their 20s looking for preventatives, the person over 50 who used to worship the sun, or the ones that just need a little more confidence in their daily lives. There is so much more to aesthetic medicine than vanity and I can’t wait to share it with you!

My passion has always been to perform clinical result-based treatments with a spa-like feel. My goal is that every patient leaves my treatment room with not just glowing skin, but a glow from within that comes from a feeling of rejuvenation and renewed confidence.
I have been a licensed esthetician for over a decade and many of those have been spent in a medical setting. I am forever a student with a passion for aesthetics. I am always seeking out new training and education to continually deepen my knowledge and improve my talent and skills in order to provide my patients the best care and information possible.

With a background in Biomedical Science and Chemistry, the medical field has always been an interest of mine. Working at a previous medical dermatology clinic, my enthusiasm to continue working and growing in this field was affirmed and led me to my true passion of cosmetic dermatology here at Zen.
One of the things I love most about this job is the ability to connect and engage with our patients. I also enjoy helping them feel more comfortable in their own skin.

 I received my Doctor of Naturopathy degree at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, and my Bachelor of Science degree at York University in Toronto, ON. I am passionate about integrative medicine and its use in optimizing patient care. My research interests include the microbiome, acne, hair loss, mindfulness, and quality of life.

I started my medical aesthetics career as a Licensed Esthetician and quickly realized how rewarding it was to help people feel more confident in their skin. Wanting to learn more about the clinical side of the business, I went on to become a Medical Assistant and Surgical Technician. Eventually, I was able to merge my business knowledge with my clinical knowledge to help practices run more efficiently and achieve the highest level of patient care. My position allows me to empower our team to help you achieve your goals so you can be the best you possible!

With over 20 years experience in healthcare leadership and information technology, it is my honor to be a member of the Zen Dermatology team. I have a strong passion for helping others become the best version of themselves in whatever way I can. My journey to serve began as a teen with my enlistment in the military. The leadership training I received in the Army has served me well as I continue to utilize those skills everyday. My position allows me to support our team and help them to achieve their goals.

She was the small business owner of Bueno Sport & Swim for many years, in East Sacramento, and then sold it in 2021. She loves helping others; since selling her business she has helped local families and her friends run and improve their small businesses. She is a mom to 3 beautiful children, two who are now off at college. She enjoys time with her husband, her 8-year-old son, and their friends. She rarely has downtime but when she does you can catch her studying for her Pilates certification.
